The PRBB building has an area of 55,000 m² and occupies a plot of 8,000 m², located between the Paseo Marítimo and Calle Dr. Aiguader, next to the Hospital del Mar.
The main building is designed in an elliptical and truncated shape with an exterior façade that does not reach the ground. The visible part of the building with a wood and glass facade is suspended on the ground floor. Its structure is supported by 110 metal tensioners from the ceiling. Only 40% of the structure is supported by central concrete cores.
The volume of the Park is defined by a height of four floors next to the Paseo Marítimo and nine floors towards the city, in addition to three underground floors and a ground floor. All the plants are U-shaped, around the central courtyard. The facade covered with sheets of red cedar controls the incidence of light and sun, and accelerates its structure.
Inside the PRBB building there is an interior plaza with an area of about 1,838 m2, partially covered by the auditorium structure.
From the interior plaza of the PRBB you can access the independent seminars, with a combined surface area of about 386m2.
The scope of the work carried out is the current interior plaza, the PRBB seminars, the lactation room and the toilets, depending on the project. It is therefore a complete reform of all these spaces, both architecturally and its integral facilities.
